“How do I tell you that you are a work of art, so perfectly one of a kind. An intricate display of splendor, immaculately designed.”
The concept of “living canvases” has been in my head for a few years now and once I finally put it into motion it became a snowball I couldn’t quite stop. What started as just a group of people covered in color, was soon followed by needing a larger than life paintbrush. And what’s a paintbrush without a giant palette? Both of which I crafted by hand just for this concept.
There was something special in the air at this shoot (and no, I’m not just talking about the immense amount of color powder that turned everyone's boogies purple🤭). There was something different about this one. An evening spent laughing and twirling and making messes and being consumed by color. I think we all left that night feeling invigorated, our cups full, and a little extra joy in our hearts. The world sparkles a little differently when you’ve just made something that wasn’t there before.
We are living works of art— our lives, a canvas. And everything about us— every passion + interest, every person we meet, every happy and sad moment (and all the moments in-between), every path we take, every choice we make (both the good and the not so great) are all brushstrokes of color on our canvas. They may seem small and insignificant at times, but when you step back you can see the masterpiece they are creating. Entirely unique, and unlike any other in the entire world. How awe-inspiringly magnificent.
