I FINALLY DID THE UNICORN SHOOT OF MY DREAMS AND I’M SO GIDDY OVER IT!! It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to shoot with a white horse, so when I connected with Patti (the owner of @triplelranchllc ), I decided to go big or go home and fulfill another couple photoshoot dreams at the same time 1.) Peter Pevensie, the eldest brother in the Narnia series, and 2.) A battle theme.
Our sweetest star of the show is Milo, a ghost-bred few spot appaloosa who is extremely rare and only 1 of 500 of his kind left in the world. The coolest and most ironic part of it all, is that his breed was specifically bred to charge into battle on their own, seek out a wounded warrior, and lay down next to them so the warrior could pull themselves up onto their backs and be carried to safety. (It really doesn’t get more perfect than that for someone who is as detail oriented and intentional as me when it comes to photoshoots.)
The whole shoot experience felt magically unreal and was really so much fun (which is always a great feeling after months of prep work when the shoot part just works effortlessly), and there couldn’t have been a more perfect *Peter* than Drew. Biggest thanks to Patti for so generously welcoming us, helping us with the shoot, and letting us work with Milo— we quite literally couldn’t have done this without you.
